It's been ten years since the Saturday Night at the Sondheim Series presented its popular Motown R&B show, and now we are proud to announce on our next Throwback Thursday, a reprise of this wonderful show with video highlights and live commentary by Erika Richards & Doug Daller.
Motown R&B features the world class talent of Fairfield, Iowa with over 60 local musicians from all ages and backgrounds performing, including a 40 piece orchestra.
Produced by the Fairfield Musicians Club, this was the first show to ever sell out the Sondheim Theater, not once but twice. Let’s see how many of your friends and neighbors you can pick out as there is so much musical talent packed into this show!
Special thanks to Glenn Chumley and Brian Smith for great video footage and to Tim Britton for help with sound editing. Video remastered and edited by Werner Elmker.
