Adrien studied singing with Juilliard-trained, Metropolitan Opera singer Harold Barlow before moving to England to attend the Guildford School of Acting Conservatoire. There she received her BA with honors in Theatre Arts, with an emphasis in Musical Theatre. During her time in the UK, she played the part of Kate in Andrew Lippa’s The Wild Party, Bebe in A Chorus Line, Berowne in Love’s Labour’s Lost, Jim in Treasure Island, Maggie in Maggie May, Miss Cratchitt in Gypsy, and ensemble in the UK tour of Godspell. She also traveled extensively around Europe as a jazz and pop vocalist and has taught private singing lessons for over 10 years. Her favorite performance was as a 1940’s army wife in the Royal Albert Hall’s Festival of Remembrance, where Queen Elizabeth II was in attendance.

Adrien Daller - Adrien grew up singing the blues with her dad, a pianist from 8 Mile Road in Detroit. In 2004 she moved to England and ended up singing jazz and musical theater professionally over there for five years. She even sang God Save the Queen to the actual Queen. She then got deported (long story) and moved back to Iowa where she started writing her own music with her pal Philip Rabalais. The best thing that could have ever happened. For several years, Philip and Adrien were both employed by the David Lynch Foundation. Adrien wrote for their online TV channel DLF.TV and conducted interviews at events (she's interviewed Jay Leno, Jerry Seinfeld, Sarah Silverman, Katy Perry, Daphne Guinness, and Russell Brand), as well as doing David Lynch's make-up for a yet-to-be-released documentary film. After many excited, late night talk-offs, they started the band Trouble Lights. They've since released a video that garnered over 20,000 views in a week, opened for Girl Talk and Pictureplane, and played their album release show at Maximum Ames Music Festival headlined by Jeff Mangum and Wanda Jackson.

LYRICS - I DON'T HAVE ANYTHING ...
Saw your shoes yesterday
I could not look up
I tried
There was no way
No way
The things I've done
You'd see in my eyes
And if I cried
You'd know the extent of my lies
My lies
I wish I told you everything
When I had the chance
Now the whites in my eyes
Are filled with red
I made my bed
CHORUS:
Cuz now I don't have anything
I don't have anything
The darkness ate my soul away
The darkness ate my soul away
Cuz now I don't have anything
I don't have anything
Saw your coat yesterday
No surprise
It was walking away from me
You used to look at me
Like I was something to see
Ha ha
Now what you see?
I'm empty and cold
I can still feel it shattering
The heart I used to hold
To hold
I should have told you everything
When I had the chance
But I'm moving on
I'm moving ahead
I made my bed
CHORUS
He put a ring on it: Nate Logsdon proposes
to Adrien Daller on stage at 80/35 July 7th 2013
Published July 7th, 2013 | by Joe Lawler dmjuice.com
Last year Mumford’s frontman Nate Logsdon married the Des Moines and Ames music scenes on stage at 80/35. This year he made things a bit more personal and proposed to his girlfriend Adrien Daller of Trouble Lights during the set.
“She had no idea, I had the ring in my trumpet case and got it out while she was singing,” Logsdon said after the set. The couple was hit with a barrage of congratulations from friends and the crowd after the show.
It’s a good month for Daller. She recently won $10,000 on the AMC show “Showville.” It will be a tough moment for any other 80/35 acts to top.

LYRICS - READY...
Get me in the backseat I'm never going home
You keep on telling me it's over and you need to be alone
I'm forcing out the words but they are never enough
My pen is ripping through the pages I can't write them hard enough
Sixteen hours and twenty days
Since you told me you'd wait for me
And I'm ready
I am ready
I'm ready I am grown up if you show up I will show you
Oh....
Whenever I go out I am always on my own
I see you in the light holding hands while you walk her home
I'm tearing through the darkness my hair is a mess
With no shoes no vision ripping off my party dress
Sixteen hours and twenty days
Since you told me you'd wait for me
And I'm ready
I am ready
I'm ready I am grown up if you show up
I will show you
Oh....
Won't you tell me if it's true
Am I not good enough for you?
After all that we've been through
Am I not good enough for you?
Won't you tell me if it's true
Am I not good enough for you?
I just need one more night with you
Am I not good enough for you?

LYRICS - SAFE WITH ME...
Little boy sitting by the roadside getting used to knowing how to say good bye
It doesn't get easier but it does get better it will get better
Little boy inside your lonely eyes put your dukes up cuz there's gonna be a fight tonight
It doesn't get easier but it does get better it will get better
CHORUS
Go Home, home
Baby go Home cuz you're safe with me
You're safe here with me when you're
Home, home
Time to go home cuz you're safe with me
You're safe here with me when you're home
Little girl leaves a light on through the night knowing this time man it's gonna be a lonely ride
They say it gets easier but it never gets better, will it ever get better?
Two hearts she can feel them in her chest trying to forget and she tries with all her might
It's gonna get easier cuz you keep getting better, you're so much better
CHORUS
Go Home, home
Baby go Home cuz you're safe with me
You're safe here with me when you're
Home, home
Time to go home cuz you're safe with me
You're safe here with me when you're home
Spoken:
I remember these shapes and faded colors
But I can't recognize the place or the time
It's just a small piece of my carefully collected memories
Like tiny colored lightbulbs in the dark
I am walking through the snow and the shadows
I am alone but not afraid
I think this is the closest I will ever come
So I hold on and I slowly fall in love with the endless night
CHORUS
Go Home, home
Baby go Home cuz you're safe with me
You're safe here with me when you're
Home, home
Time to go home cuz you're safe with me
You're safe here with me when you're home

LYRICS - CALL YOU UP...
Walking home there you arePacking up time to go
Turn around I need relief
Don't make a sound or tear me away
Call you up I know you'll come
If I say all the right things
When your spirit holds me down
I cannot keep control
Call you up I know you'll come
If I say all the right things
When your spirit holds me down I cannot keep control
Don't run don't fight
Breathe in breathe out
I fall I try I hide my doubt
Call you up I know you'll come
If I say all the right things
When your spirit holds me down
I cannot keep control
Call you up I know you'll come
If I say all the right things
When your spirit holds me down
I cannot keep control
Call you up I know you'll come
If I say all the right things
When your spirit holds me down
I cannot keep control
Call you up I know you'll come
If I say all the right things
When your spirit holds me down
I cannot keep control
